Georges G. Lederman received his undergraduate degree with honors in 1979 from Brown University. Bilingual in French and English, Mr. Lederman also attended the University of Geneva, Switzerland, where he studied at the Faculty of Law and the School of Translation and Interpretation. He received his law degree in 1984 from Georgetown University, where he was Lead Articles Editor of The Tax Lawyer.
After having been graduated from Georgetown University, Mr. Lederman was associated with the New York City law firm of Kelley Drye and Warren, where he practiced securities litigation. In 1987, he was appointed by District Attorney Robert M. Morgenthau as an assistant district attorney in the New York County District Attorney’s Office. During his near decade-long tenure as a prosecutor, Mr. Lederman was assigned to the Frauds, Narcotics and Trial Divisions. He tried over 30 felony jury trials to verdict and conducted complex investigations involving major crimes. Mr. Lederman retains his ties to his former office as a faculty member of the New York County District Attorney’s Trial Advocacy Program, in which he teaches trial skills to newly-appointed prosecutors.
Mr. Lederman is Of Counsel to the law firm of Danziger, Danziger & Muro, LLP, which specializes in representing members of the international art and fashion community, luxury brand retailers and high-end restaurateurs. Mr. Lederman handles the Danziger firm’s major litigation matters.
Mr. Lederman is admitted to practice in the courts of the State of New York and in the United States District Court, Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
